Privacy at Savvo

The short version

• Your inspection photos and sound recordings stay on your phone. They never leave it.
• There are no accounts today. We do not ask for your name or phone number.
• No ads. There is no advertising or tracking code in the site or the apps. We do not sell your data.
• What we do keep, we keep for a short, fixed time. Then we delete it.

What stays on your phone

• Inspection photos and sound recordings. When you take a photo or record the engine in the walkthrough, it is saved only on your phone. It never leaves your phone, and we cannot see it. Delete the app, or clear the site data in your browser, and it is gone.
• Your saved searches and your garage list. These are kept on your phone.
• Your language and your light or dark choice, in a small cookie or setting on your phone.
• A random code that your phone makes. It lets Savvo keep your visit together without an account. It has no name, number or e-mail in it.

What we receive, and how long we keep it

Some things do reach our servers. Here is each one, and when we delete it.

• Your searches. The words and filters you search with. They come with the random code, not your name. We keep them for 12 months, then delete them.
• Other things you type, tick or save: an advert link you paste, a VIN you check, a seller’s reply or a report you ask us to read, a car you save from its page, and your walkthrough answers (not the photos). We also keep these for 12 months, then delete them.
• Feedback you send. Only if you write to us in a feedback box. We keep it for 12 months, then delete it.
• Your e-mail address, only for e-mail alerts. Today Savvo does not ask for your e-mail. When alerts start, we keep your address until you unsubscribe. Then we delete it within 30 days.
• Server logs. Like every website, our server writes down the IP address, the time and the page asked for. We use them to keep the site safe and working. We keep them for 30 days.

No accounts

Sign-in is paused, so there are no Savvo accounts today. We do not collect your name, phone number, address, location, contacts or advertising ID.

No ads, no tracking

• There is no advertising or tracking code (no ad or analytics SDK) in the website or the apps.
• We do not follow you across other apps or websites. We do not sell or give your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Paying for a report

If you pay for a report, you pay on the page of our payment company, Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe tells us your e-mail address and that you paid, so we can open your report.

Who helps us run Savvo

Our server, our database and our payment company work for us. They may use the data only to run Savvo, and for nothing else.

To understand some searches, we may send the search words to an AI service. We send only the words, never who you are.

Other websites

Car adverts come from other websites. When you open the original advert, you are on their website, and their privacy policy applies.

Car photos load straight from the website that listed the car, like Dubizzle or DubiCars. When your browser loads a photo, that website sees your IP address and browser. Any website you visit sees this. We send them nothing else.

Children

Savvo is for adults buying a car. It is not for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.

How to delete your data

• Photos and recordings: they are only on your phone. Remove them in the walkthrough, or delete the app.
• Saved searches, garage list, language and the random code: clear the site data in your browser, or delete the app.
• Anything on our servers: ask us, using the contact below. We do not know your name, so tell us what to look for (for example, your e-mail address for alerts). We reply within 30 days.

Security

Everything between your phone and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our database is limited.

If we change what we collect, we change this page and its date first.
